We had a great day yesterday! We all arrived safely and are looking forward to today when the kids arrive. Bera was able to join us for an outing for lunch at Boston Pizza, a special ice cream stand and a tour of Kekabeka Falls. He even led our devotions in the evening. He thanks everyone for their prayers.
It is always a challenge to know how many campers we will have. It is just the nature of the ministry. Bera and Bonita visited with Native leaders yesterday. Over 3,800 people have been evacuated from their northern communities because of the 100 fires burning. We are praying for an opportunity to bring some of these children to camp.
Please pray for us that God will make a way for the children to come. We may have a mixture of kids coming only for the day so it will be different from normal camp, but I know that God is with us.

So happy to hear that you've all arrived safely, even Heather who didn't make it into the photo. (I would really like a photo of Heather on crazy hair day, please. OOH, an another one of Joan!)
And i have to know, did Andrew grab the coffee cup just to have it in the photo, or is this, again, just his natural state of being?
You all look great! Have a beautiful day filled with lots of campers and fun.
Praying for you all...
